You may remember when we posted images and press information on the BMW M3 GTS which was basically a race-tuned version of the current E92 BMW M3. Well now BMW Motorsports has race-prepped the Z4 and turned it into a V8-powered Z4 GT3. It uses the same naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V8 found in the BMW M3 with a little extra tuning to make 480hp.

If you ever wanted a Z4 M that you can take on the race track, then this is the answer to your prayers. All you need now is over $400Kusd and you can live out your dream as that race-car driver now that you are all grown-up.

Spotted a Henessey Venom GT on an industrial estate. As we understand, it will come in 3 versions: 750, 1000 and 1250HP. Lotus Elise with 1250HP??? That would be something to see and drive!

Sell out crowd for first day of YAS Drag Racing Festival.
A sell out crowd filled YAS Marina Circuit’s impressive new drag racing centre today, as more than 120 cars and bikes blasted down the 1/4 mile strip adjacent to the F1 circuit. A range of cars from across the GCC, including Outlaw 10.5’s, Superstreet 8’s, 7.5’s, and Pro Mods, joined Pro-bikes and Superstreet bikes for the first-ever meet in Abu Dhabi. In between runs, freestyle biker hotshots, Moto-X, performed jaw dropping stunts in front of the grandstands.

Top Fuel Dragster Duo Ignite the UAE
Tommy Johnson Jnr set an amazing 3.917 seconds, just missing the magic 500kph barrier, in his duel with team mate Hot Rod Fuller at Yas Marina Circuit. Their first side-by-side run in front of packed grandstands, both drivers set new Middle East records.  Expectations are high to see how close either driver can get to the world record of 3.76 seconds over the next five runs.

- The 24hr Project -
The team decided to challenge themselves to participate in an endurance race for 24hrs and get first place in Class B category, which is 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engines, non-turbo. In Class B, 14 race cars. Total of 80+ super cars from all over the world who came to Dubai 24hr.

The team had many issues with the gear box. The mechanics did a great job day/night maintaining and sustain the car to be on track as much as possible, but the team failed to bring a trophy home.

Thats said, Al Qasba Team Lap57 had finished the 24hr endurance race, and El7imdela they had loved every moment and wanted to share this video with you guys. Enjoy Part2 as well.

If you happen to have an extra dollop of guts swishing about in your bloodstream, then you probably wouldn’t be driving an F1 car. No, you would be driving something like this monster touring car from the early Eighties. With the old school Mercedes 190E packing a snorting Judd V8 under the hood, you simply have to love these kinda machines. Enjoy!

This video, shot during the 2009 VW Blasen, shows an amazing drag run from a MKI Volkswagen Polo.  Outfitted with a 1,032-horsepower turbocharged 1.9-Liter 16V engine from AME Racing, the driver was able to take the car down the strip in sensational fashion.  The four-cylinder engine produces up to 701 ft-lb (950 Nm) of torque, and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

The car elicited resounding applause, whistles, and cheers as it blew the competition away en route to a 9.398 quarter-mile time at 238 km/h (147.9 mph).  0-100km/h takes just 2.3 seconds, with top speed allegedly near 300 km/h (186.4 mph).

The rival car didn’t even have a prayer; it crossed the line in 14.359 at 168 km/h (104 mph).  The event took place over the summer at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz in Schipkau, Germany.

Round 3 of the UAE Touring Car Championships. You can see in Car Action with Khalid Bin Hadher, from Performance Racing Team. UAETCC is running two races per racing weekend, and we covered them both. As far as driving goes aAlthough a bit underpowered (see the action on main straight) with great aggressive driving style Khalid Bin Hadhed finished both races in first position. Great effort!
